After graduating in with a Bachelors Degree Biology and Physics at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, I pursued my scientific career and obtained a PhD in Biophysics. I left my home country and decided to cross the Atlantic and come to California. I spent 3 years working in the Nogales Lab at UC Berkeley in the field of molecular biophysics characterizing a molecular motor involved in the activation of prokaryotic transcription, the two-component response regulator, enhancer-binding protein NtrC. Now I am continuing this work at the University of Colorado at Boulder in collaboration with Professor B. Tracy Nixon at Penn State University.
